After serving eight years as associate director of choirs at Northwest High School, Cheryl Taylor Lemmons is returning to her first musical love as a collaborative pianist at Texas Christian University. Previously she had served as collaborative pianist at Abilene Christian University. Past performances include the west Coast premier of John Musto’s Book of Uncommon Prayer; Live from the Chazen concert with saxophonist Matthew Sintchak, which was live-broadcast on Wisconsin Public Radio; guest pianist with the Chicago Choral Artists under the direction of Michael Costello. Recent performances include a recital with Zach Hess for the Dallas Puccini Society, and a preview performance of a new opera, For the Love of Uvalde, which will be premiered at TCU in 2027. This is Lemmons’ 24th summer to be part of Lutheran Summer Music.
