Alum Offer Cantata in Worship

LSM alumna and former Dean of Students Sophia Butler (LSM 2009–2010) will conduct Bach’s Christus, der ist mein Leben (BWV 95) during the worship service at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Roseville, MN, on Sunday, May 18, at 9:00 AM.

This annual Bach Cantata Sunday tradition at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection replaces the hymn of the day with a full performance of the cantata. Many LSM alumni and friends will be involved!

The cantata reflects on Christ’s triumph over death, featuring themes of hope and resurrection. If you’re in the Twin Cities area, it’s a great opportunity to hear beautiful music in its intended context.
