LSM Community Contributes to Dallas Lutheran Hymn Festival

LSM's community and support for church music spread far beyond the confines of our summer academy. Many LSM community members attended and took part in last weekend's Dallas Hymn Festival, which celebrates the Lutheran musical tradition's long history and bright future. This year’s guest organist was LSM faculty member David Cherwien, and former Board member Scott Hyslop directed the choir. Longtime LSM piano faculty member Cheryl Lemmons played piano. Former LSM Board members David Krause and Charles Sukup were in attendance, as well as other LSM alumni and friends. 

The Lutheran Hymn Festival also supports the future of church music by generously donating the proceeds from ticket sales to LSM to support student scholarships. Learn more about the program and follow along for future updates at https://lutheranhymnfestival.org/
