Windiana to Feature “A Movement for Rosa” on Nov. 20 Concert

On Nov. 20, LSM Concert Band conductor Jeffrey Scott Doebler will conduct Windiana, a professional-level concert band based in Valparaiso, in a concert program featuring “A Movement for Rosa” by Mark Camphouse. The piece honors Rosa Parks’ courageous act on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. The concert will also present the second performance of a composition honoring Richard Brauer, the premiere of a Jared Coller transcription, and music to begin the celebration of the Semiquincentennial of the USA.

The concert will be presented at the University Theatre in the Valparaiso University Center for the Arts on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 PM
