About the LSM Choral Gathering
The LSM Choral Gathering is a one-day opportunity for adult singers to come together for meaningful, shared music-making with Lutheran Summer Music. The day will be led by David Cherwien, Lutheran Summer Music faculty member and former Artistic Director of the National Lutheran Choir.
Join singers from across the region for a full day of community music-making. Through rehearsals, artist faculty-led workshops, and a shared meal, singers from church choirs, community ensembles, and individual musicians will gather in a spirit of shared purpose and joy, culminating in a meditative Evening Prayer where the gathering will join the entire LSM community in offering their music.
This event offers a welcoming way to experience the music, people, and artistic life of Lutheran Summer Music at St. Olaf College.
You’re Invited!
The LSM Choral Gathering is open to:
Adult singers (18+)
Church and community choir members
Choir directors, cantors, and church musicians
Individual singers (no ensemble required)
Participants under 18 are welcome when accompanied by an adult. No audition is required.
Repertoire
The day’s repertoire will draw from a variety of styles and composers, offering meaningful music for singers of diverse backgrounds that invite collaboration and community.

Individual: $35
Group (3+): $25 per person
Or pay what you can — all are welcome.
Group registration is encouraged for church choirs and community ensembles, and individual singers are warmly invited to register on their own.
